DB Regio Bus
DB Regio Bus, the bus division of DB Regio AG, is the largest provider of bus transport in Germany, with around 420 million passengers a year. With over 9,900 buses in almost 300 administrative districts and independent cities, we offer an attractive range of mobility services both in cities and in the countryside. In doing so, we are actively promoting climate protection and mobility transition in Germany with pioneering technologies.
DB Regio Bus is committed to digital, connected mobility services and is a pioneer and technology driver, particularly in autonomous carbon neutral modes of transport. In 2017, for the first time in Germany, we deployed electric autonomous shuttles as part of public transportation in Bad Birnbach. Since then, we have integrated automated vehicles in traffic in several German cities as well. These are connected to existing bus lines and to the rail to ensure seamless climate-friendly mobility. In the EU-funded project Ultimo we are in charge of project coordination. Together with our project partners we are taking automated technology to a new level.

Ruter AS
Ruter AS is the public transport authority for Oslo and Akershus counties in Norway. Formally a limited company – 60% of our shares are owned by the Oslo county municipality and 40% by that of Akershus – we are responsible for the administration, funding and marketing of public transport in the two counties, including buses, the Oslo metro, trams and ferry services. All transport services are performed by various operating companies on our behalf.
Sensible 4
Sensible 4 is an automated driving technology company on a mission to enable autonomous mobility everywhere. The technology enables different types of vehicles to operate autonomously in all weather. Sensible 4 was founded in 2017 by the Finnish pioneers of outdoor robotics. In 2022, it released its automated driving software platform DAWN™ to enable industrial vehicles, delivery vans, and shuttles to operate autonomously at Level 4. Université de Genève (UniGe)
The University of Geneva is a public research university located in Geneva, Switzerland. It was founded in 1559 by John Calvin and for four and a half centuries, the alma mater has attracted students and scholars from all over the world to Geneva. It is currently the third largest university in Switzerland, with nine faculties and fourteen inter-faculty centers and institutes. Located in the heart of the international metropolis of Geneva, the UniGe has established a vast network of international and non-governmental organizations. These links support collaborations between scientists from different institutions, including CERN (European Organization for Nuclear Research), UNEP (the United Nations Environment Programme), etc. The university recently headed the AVENUE project, part of the European H2020 programme for research and innovation, which aimed to foster the transition to an on-demand/door-to-door autonomous public transport model and to implement these services on four large-scale deployments.
Transports Publics Genevois (TPG)
Founded in 1977, Transports Publics Genevois is a predominantly publicly funded public transport operator that operates most of the public transportation system in the Canton of Geneva (Switzerland), but also in the Canton of Vaud and neighbouring France. The company, headed by Denis Berdoz, operates trams, trolleybuses and almost 500 buses on 65 different lines to transport more than 600’000 people daily. The largest part of the TPG fleet is now electric and the goal is to have the entire fleet converted to this energy by 2030. TPG is also a forerunner in the deployment of services involving autonomous minibuses and on demand and door-to-door services.

The mission of the Swiss Association for Autonomous Mobility (SAAM) is to enable the introduction of new mobility technologies and offerings in Switzerland for the common good. As the leading autonomous mobility platform in Switzerland, SAAM aims to shape the mobility of tomorrow sustainably by providing a place of exchange and collaboration between its members with a focus on concrete projects and by accompanying new policies.
Autonomous mobility can only be adressed in a holistic approach. For this reason, SAAM is organised in Streams and Working Groups. The Streams aim to study specific aspects of autonomous mobility, such as regulation, social acceptance and technology. Working Groups enable members to work together on specific topics in an interdisciplinary format. Through this organisation, SAAM intends to create value and outputs thanks to concrete exchanges of information & know-how between members and by carrying out innovative projects accross Switzerland.

OVO is a Swiss urban logistic company. Since 2020, OVO has been offering micro-logistics solutions to support urban logistics in the urban transition of cities.
