Early June 2023, ULTIMO took to the stage in a major congress to raise awareness on project goals and scope. The UITP Global Public Transport Summit brings together major stakeholders in public transport and sustainable mobility and provided a perfect platform for project partners to highlight ULTIMO.
On Tuesday 6 June, ULTIMO exchanged lessons learned on AV deployment from EU & global perspective in two workshops organised by the SHOW project. The workshops gathered experts from across the globe, who discussed the immediate next steps for AV deployment and what is the real long-term potential of how AVs can enhance public transit in terms e.g., of accessibility and frequency of services.
Also on the Tuesday, the Spotlight session on streamlining public transport infrastructure for rail and road vehicles with the SHOW and R2DATO projects gathered high interest.
