This month ULTIMO was present at the Mobility Innovation Week in Japan. The project was represented by Guy Fournier, scientific advisor and board member of ULTIMO who presented the first research results on “How to shape mobility of the future which serves general interest: potential emerging mobility services with automated vehicles and their related ecosystems in cities”
Guy explained in his remarks that in fact, automated vehicles are in terms of benefits not neutral and depend (like other technologies) on the way they are implemented to enable societal economic, social and environmental benefits.
The event brought together a high-level audience with global stakeholders from Japan and beyond together for fruitful discussions. Groundwork was put in place for future collaborations among projects.
