From 15 to 18 June 2025, the UITP Global Public Transport Summit will take place in Hamburg, Germany, transforming the city into a global hub for sustainable urban mobility. As the world’s largest event dedicated to public transport and urban mobility, the Summit brings together mobility professionals from across the globe to discuss the future of public transport.
As one of the latest EU-funded demonstration projects in Connected, Cooperative and Automated Mobility (CCAM), ULTIMO has gained valuable insights and learnings about the complexities of deploying CCAM services within public transport systems.
Reflecting on the experience ULTIMO and related initiatives, the project will host a dedicated side event titled “Overcoming deployment barriers for automated mobility in Europe” on Monday, 16 June 2025, from 15:30 to 17:30, in Elphi Room (Hall B1) at the Hamburg Messe.
The session will focus on identifying the key challenges facing CCAM deployment in Europe and exploring what is needed to move forward in a timely, effective and responsible manner.
