First automated vehicles arrive in Oslo

Our first deployment site is ready to start operation! In Groruddalen, Oslo, automated vehicles for our ULTIMO project arrived. They were shown to interested people and students first. In a few days they will already be driving around in the valley at normal speed and in all traffic. The vehicles can be booked on demand. The automated vehicles will aim to advance mobility of the people in the valley, making it more accessible and inclusive.

In Groruddalen the public transport system currently consists of 19 bus lines, three metro lines, paratransit transport services, and local train services. The automated vehicles shall in course of the project cover all mobility needs in a MaaS-setup, feed the first and last mile to local metro station and replace existing bus-lines during low peak hours.
